A brief history of Blankstein
Enterprises.
Blankstein Enterprises is a Milwaukee based,
third generation family owned business started in 1932. The Company’s
major interests have included owning and managing apartment
buildings, hotels, and office and commercial properties.
Currently, Blankstein owns 20 apartment
buildings or complexes in the Milwaukee area including
complexes in both Oshkosh and Sheboygan that contain approximately
1500 apartment units.
Eugene Bass, the current President of Blankstein
Enterprises, joined the business in 1959, and has been running
the company since the early 1970’s. Gene holds the title
of Certified Property Manager (CPM). He has held the positions
of President of the Milwaukee
Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM),
Avenues West Association, Building Owners and Managers Association
(BOMA), and the Greater Milwaukee Hotel/Motel Association.
Gene was also a director of the Milwaukee Convention and Visitors
Bureau and as a certified instructor has taught Property Management
at the Milwaukee Area Technical College.
Donald Bass is the Vice President of Blankstein
Enterprises. He joined the business in 1983 and is a graduate of UW-Madison. Donald holds undergraduate degrees
in Risk Management and Insurance, and Real Estate, and also
holds a Masters Degree in Finance. He is also a Certified
Property Manager (CPM).
Blankstein Enterprises is committed to

role in maintaining the integrity of the neighborhoods it
which it has invested.
